For this sketch, I created a loose digital drawing of a girl with fish floating above her head. I always listen to music while drawing, and I think it’s fun to draw my interpretation of a song, mixing music and design. This piece was directly inspired by the song "Heavy" by The Marías. I interpreted the song as telling the story of someone who wants to be alone, and the lyric "is someone telling me don't go in the water?" reminded me of the stillness and silence when you're underwater. The fish represent that floating silence, while the girl's serious expression reflects her desire to be alone.
